Extra Call for Applications: OLIve-UP 2020-21 at Bard College Berlin, Germany

A nine-month English-language program for refugees in Germany designed to prepare students for entry to Masters Programs at Central European University

The Open Learning Initiative (OLIve) at Bard College Berlin (BCB) looks to recruit one extra student who is interested in continuing their studies at the masters level in one of the following fields: Sociology, Anthropology, Political Sciences, International Relations, Public Policy, Human Rights or Business Studies for its full-time, nine-month university preparatory program, OLIve-UP, offered in the academic year 2020-21 (26 August 2020 - 23 May 2021).

The deadline to submit a complete online application package is Thursday, 7 May 2020, 11:59PM CET.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES:

  • are based in Germany, with a refugee status or in a refugee-like situation

  • have an upper-intermediate (B2) level of English or above

  • have completed a Bachelor degree

  • can demonstrate willingness and interest to continue to graduate studies in one of the following fields: Sociology, Anthropology, Political Sciences, International Relations, Public Policy, Human Rights or Business Studies

  • have not participated in the last OLIve-UP recruitment cycle for the academic year 2020-21

Additionally, the accepted candidate needs to:

  • be available to participate in the Summer Module between 2 June and 21 August 2020, an online preparatory session that all OLIve-UP students have to complete before the start of the program

  • be in Berlin for the entire duration of the program (26 August 2020 - 23 May 2021)
