Joined REis consortium in 2016
The Media Governance & Industries Research Lab at the University of Vienna has been successfully running Refugee Education Initiatives (REIs) Project from November 2016.
Based on the experience and feedback received from students and teachers, the Lab is launching a new REIs programme in the Spring term of 2019, which will run for four terms of 15 weeks. The programme will accept up to 50 students per term and organize weekly classes in German, English, academic tutoring, and in creative and professional training. German classes will be offered in cooperation with the Berlitz School, which has more than 135 years of experience in teaching German as a foreign language and in preparing students for university studies. The programs at Vienna will aim to specifically target refugee women and youth.
